Globant | TravelNXT Glow
Overview
TravelNXT is an internal application at Globant designed to simplify employee travel across Globant offices and client locations. The platform enables booking flights, buses, cabs, hotels, and other services, serving a wide range of users, including Globers, General Travel (GT) teams, Project Managers (PMs), and other roles.
As part of this project, my role was to enhance the platform’s usability, refine its UI components for better intuitiveness, and introduce micro-interactions to improve responsiveness and engagement.
Problem Statement
Before the redesign, the application faced:
⚠️ Complex workflows that made travel booking tedious for users.
⚠️ Lack of intuitive components, leading to usability challenges.
⚠️ Minimal interactivity, making the platform feel static and less engaging.
⚠️ Approval process friction, where trip approvals required multiple steps.
Goals & Objectives
✅ Simplify the booking flow to improve efficiency.
✅ Redesign UI components for better intuitiveness and consistency.
✅ Introduce micro-interactions to enhance responsiveness and user engagement.
✅ Ensure seamless experience across both mobile and desktop.
✅ Optimize approval workflows to enable one-click trip approvals.
My Role & Responsibilities
🔹 Usability Enhancements – Conducted UX audits and restructured travel booking flows.
🔹 Component Refinements – Redesigned interactive elements for better clarity & accessibility.
🔹 Micro-Interactions & Feedback Mechanisms – Implemented subtle animations, hover effects, and state changes for a more responsive experience.
🔹 Cross-Platform Optimization – Ensured consistency across mobile & desktop versions.
🔹 Collaboration with Development Teams – Worked closely with engineers to implement animations, and real-time feedback elements.
